The Adventures of Joe and Kym: New baby!

Our little family has grown to three! Jadyn Elizabeth Christensen was born July 11th, 2009. She weighed 7 lbs 7 oz's and is doing well!

My kid is so dang cute:

Jadyn likes to know the reason for being denied certain treats in her life. Conveniently, she often supplies her own reason from then ones that we have given her in the past. My favorites are:

Jadyn: "Mama, can I have some ice cream?"

Me: "No Jadyn, we are not going to have any ice cream right now."

Jadyn: "Oh...it's at the store." or "Oh...Not 'til Halloween." or "Oh, it's dark outside." or "Oh, That's YOUR ice cream?"

Jadyn likes to put her cheek up against McKay's mouth so that he will give her "kisses" (Really he just tries to suck on her face). after each slobbery smack she pulls her face away and says "Ohhh...'K so cute Mama? K so cute? awww Ba'Kay, so cute."

Jadyn was trying to get me to give her a different kind of cereal then the one that she had originally chosen and was now sitting in a bowl on the table:

Jadyn: Mama! The towel is hungry?

Mama: Oh it is? Towel, what are you hungry for?

Jadyn: (whispering) cereal..?

Mama: Ok towel, Jadyn has a whole bowl of cereal on the table, go eat it.

Jadyn: oohhh...

Joseph has taken to calling our little McKay "Maverick." A practice that has resulted in Jadyn exclaiming "Hey Maggot!...awww maggot!" at frequent intervals through out the day.

I think my child just put her hand into the pocket of my pajamas, pulled out some lint and ate it.

Today Jadyn looked up when her pretty auntie entered the room and said "Oh! I like...your clothes Liz! Pretty dress!" She is such a girl! I love it.

Jadyn talking to Grandpa E:

J: Papa...eyes?

G: Yes Jadyn, I have eyes!

J: Papa...ears?

G: Yes! I have ears!

J: Papa...boogers?

G: Uhhh....
